Anglian Water's Temporary Use Ban was put in place on 10 July 2026 and became enforceable at 01:01 on Saturday 11 July. It is the company's first hosepipe ban since 2012 and covers more than 5 million water-supply customers across the East of England.
Hartlepool is explicitly EXCLUDED. Hartlepool (TS24 to TS27) is supplied by Hartlepool Water, a separate Anglian Water entity with its own water resource zone.
If you are in CO, IP, NR or SS, check your bill before assuming this applies to you. Those areas are split with Essex & Suffolk Water, a separate company that has no ban.
